There are a few exciting exploratory workshops on testing out there, and after jealously watching from afar at the likes of DEWT, MEWT, LEWT and SWET (bucking the acronym trend, there Sweden!) I decided to investigate the possibility of having our very own awesome testing workshop in Scotland.
Enter SCEWT – The SCottish Exploratory Workshop on Testing.
Why SCEWT, and not SEWT? Well, if our Swedish brethren decide to switch their name to SEWT, it’ll avoid some potential confusion, and naturally as Scots, we don’t mind being a little different. What a C between friends?
At this point in time, I’m not sure what’s involved in setting up or running one of these – I just know it’d be a good thing if the buzz coming off any of the other workshops is anything to go by. Therefore, time permitting, I’ll most likely be bending collective xEWT ears and maybe even trying to blag an invite to one of two of the other meets to see how these things work first hand so I have a better idea of what I’m looking for.
